I have been planning for this wedding for a couple of months now. Not as the bride or a bridesmaid but as an anxious friend. And of course I had to prepare accordingly. My bestie and I started with the dress. Check. Then came the shoes. Check. Finally our MAC appointment, triple check. We love dressing up, planning to have fun and then executing it like the all girl school and sorority girls we are. I was also excited to see this Bride's eye for detail. Their engagement party was sweet and bridal party was fab so I just knew this weeding was going to be a razzle dazzle!

Stuff I heart in May

May has been one whirlwind of a month. I am so busy I just started to obsess over my favorite things for this month. So here are the winners. :)

Double ring: My two younger sisters have over 20 of these accessories combined. I think they have the
                     real obsession. Right now I'm only fashioning about 3, of course not all at one time that's
                     just plain silly.

Martha Stewart Living mag: It was weird, I looked into my mailbox the other day and lucky me I was
                                             the proud owner of two MSL mags for the month of May. I think they just
                                             forgot to send May's issue but both the May and June issues have super
                                             crafty ideas for graduations and summer livin'! Check it out!

Nude heels: Nude is the new black for summer. I am lovin' the nude look on any pretty pedicured foot. If
                    you think about it, nude matches with any color attire, especially a silky jumper.

Tissue paper: Love, love it, love it. I have been using tissue paper for years to create things like paper
                      balls, wrapping paper and now garland. I got this great idea from MSL's June issue. Can't
                      wait to recreate her fab grad garland for Mr. G's party.

Mark Romanek: Mark was the director for Jay Z's "99 Problems" video and is also a renowned film
                           director. His point of view, lighting and powerful portraits should be any
                           photographer's inspiration. I know I am hooked.

Vanessa+Omir=LOVE

Vanessa is one of my four sisters. She falls right below me in our sisto rat pack. Her fun-witted and outrageously blunt spirit combined with her flawless beauty would attract any fella. This fella's name is Omir. Omir loves to love Vanessa. That basically explains him in a nutshell:) Here they are having some fun.

Thankfulness

Today I am blessed to BE thankful for many things in my life. I am thankful for my wonderful Mr. G, schmookie pups, fun-loving family and as always my health. This is the second Thanksgiving lunch with the Ayala and Galindo family under one roof. This thanksgiving, as the previous one, began at 7 a.m. when I crawled out of bed to turn off the alarm, walked blindly to let the Schmookies out and then I headed straight for the fridge to get that 22 heavyweight pounder out. Once I finally had a bite in my stomach I was able to roll up my sleeves and get my turkey on. The FamBam came a knocking around 10 a.m. while I was basting turkey lurkey for the 3rd time and beginning to start on the traditional Ruiz stuffing. As usual my two older but younger sisters came when the food was practically ready and the Galindo family was unpunctual as ever, arriving an hour and a half later. But what is family without sweet predictability? As soon as everyone arrived we ate, buffet style, cut the pumpkin pie and then played a couple of rounds of ping pong. The last item on the agenda and of course the most important is always to take family pictures, serious, silly and one's that will hold a special place in our hearts for years to come.
