Our 2010 Christmas card -check

I'm so excited because I just placed an order for this year's Christmas cards! Ekkk, I can't wait to get them in the mail. Right now I am obsessed with ordering online. I've been ordering tons of stuff for the baby's room and baby shower. I just love the way it feels when you get home and there is a surprise waiting in the mailbox. It's almost like a mini-Christmas each day.

We give THANKS

Thanksgiving 2010 was held at our home. We had a full house filled with family and friends. This year we gave thanks for many things; but the most precious of them all is the new life growing in my belly!
Our feast started with these organic tomatoes from my new little garden.
The heavyweight that came to get knocked out:)

Place cards that later turned into the leaves for our Thanksgiving tree.

Our new Thanksgiving tradition: We wrote what we were thankful for on the back of our place cards and then hung them up on our thanksgiving tree. I think its too easy not to do something like this. Here is what I used:
-an old vase
-branches I found on our daily walk
-fall colored card stock
-embroidery thread
I am thankful for the new life in my tummy, our health and family & friends!
Our tootsie pose:)
I especially give thanks for this guy!

Not only is my mom's favorite color pink but she also loves the movie "Pretty in Pink." That's why it's a perfect reason to accessorize her 46th birthday, from head to toe, in PINK! Happy Birthday Madre Mia:)
46 mini cup cakes to be exact!

Pandora-a prefect present to give to the sweetest mommy:)

Friends and Baby Bumps

Just thought I'd share some pictures of my cute sorority sister and I with our baby bumps. My friend Karen, pregnant momma to be, and Valerie, my sorority 'lil sis, are best friends. Luckily for us, Val is an ultrasound techy girl and can get some pretty awesome pictures of our baby boy and Karen's baby girl. I feel blessed to have such sweet friends to share these special moments with. Thanks girlies!
Our kiddies first kiss:)
XOXO
My oh-so-cute and talented lil sis! Val was also the first one to reveal the baby's gender! Love ya girl:)
Before the careers, weddings and baby bumps:)

Sanrio's 50th Year Anniversary

This month, my sisters, mom and I had the best opportunity of the year. We were able to go act like kids again at Hello Kitty and Sanrio's 50th year anniversary celebration. It was held at the Santa Monica Airport. We were literally like kids in a candy shop, but this candy was made of red bows and white fur.  At the Sanrio pop-up tour there was everything from mini-carnival games to an art exhibition. We really adored every little bit of this experience except the two-hour wait to get into the pop-up gift store. I guess it was kind of worth it because we were able to buy the most unique Hello Kitty gifts.

This is Sephora's new and upcoming collection-can't wait!

Is this cool or what?

Trimester 2

For the last month I've been feeling pretty prego. It's not like I wasn't "feeling" pregnant before, I just didn't look as pregnant, I guess. I felt like my stomach looked like I had drank a little too much...if you know what I mean.:) Well, now I am officially in my 6th month (week 24) which makes me in the last month of Trimester number two! AHHHH! I heard trimester 3 is when you get completely wiped out, fatigued, bloated and HUGE. I think this calls for a shopping day...he he he!
This is me at month 6 comin' at ya!
Week 24 = Papaya

Charm and Scott

...And they lived happily ever after. These were the words that seem to fit so perfectly at my friends', Charm and Scotty, wedding and I know will also be true for their marriage. This special occasion for these love birds was held on October 23, 2010 in Las Vegas Nevada. No, it wasn't anything remotely close to a shotgun wedding but just the opposite. They said their vows in a Catholic church, which was immediately followed by a very appetizing luncheon at Boarder Grill inside the Mandalay Bay Casino & Resort. Later in the evening, drinks and desserts overflowed in their luxury suite. My oh so creative friend Charm thought out every detail from the cutest flags (instead of rice) at the ceremony to making her own cake pops at the dessert bar. I not only loved being apart of their romantic getaway wedding but had too much fun snapping some shots. Here are a few of my favs!
The flags were in place of throwing rice...too cute. They had different embossed sayings and pictures like LOVE, Mr. & Mrs...etc.
These two love birds were seen everywhere....from the out-of-town bags to the modern 3 layer cake.

Scotty and Charm's cartoon picture was surrounded by candy galore.

This has got to be my favorite detail of the whole wedding. They used an ornate birdcage to hold the wedding cards. The tree was meant for guests to place notes of love and advice.

The "adult" party favor.  :)

Doesn't this look a Chicago style pizza pie...it was the groom's cake-totally unique!
The dessert bags.
Happily ever after!

October 31st

Pumpkins. We like to carve the old fashion way. No stencils, just a knife, marker and spoon. My mom and sisters came over on Halloween to carve five awkwardly shaped pumpkins and go trick-or-treating (of course Mr. G and I pass out the treats). It's tradition. Each sister designs and carves their own pumpkin. So sad our tradition was broken this year. Two of my sisters were over it by the time we started carving...oppsie mommy, you started too late! Only my mom, sisters Mini and Sophs and myself carved the heck outta our 5 little pumpkins this year.
Coco is trying to help out...or maybe steal some pumpkin seeds.
My mommy carving away.
Baby G's first Halloween costume!
Our family tree (with a new addition on the way:)
Amelia Earhart and her super unique owl pumpkin.

Spooktacular Continued

For some reason my blog wasn't letting me upload all of the pictures. So here are a little more:)

Some more glittery decor.

Mr. G's Devlish Drink contribution...& yes that is a skull beer bong!
The hosts: Bug catcher and his firefly

Can't forget about the butterflies!

Our Spooktacular Halloween Bash

Mr. G and I have many things in common, but the one thing we love the most is entertaining. Mr. G likes to "throw parties" while I like "hosting." They are similar in some ways but completely different in oh so many more. For instance, throwing a party involves a d.j., alcoholic beverages and of course finger-lickin' good grub. Hosting is well, much more planned out. It entails a themed decor, sweets and treats, which all take major preparation. Let's face it, Mr. G is Mr. Social while I try to be the Mrs. Mexican Martha Stewart. I think this combination works out pretty darn well if I do say so myself.

This year we held our 3rd annual Spooktacular Halloween Bash for our family and friends. We prepped and decorated for about two weeks straight. Here are some of the results of my decor!
